Delete account

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This is an English translation of the Turkish original. If the two differ, the Turkish version applies.

Deleting from the app

Open Settings in biselam and tap “Delete account”. To confirm, you enter your password or the code sent to your email.

What’s deleted

Your profile, photos, stories and messages are permanently deleted. In chats with others, your messages go, and what the other person wrote stays on their account. This can’t be undone. Remaining coins aren’t refunded.

If you have Plus

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel the subscription; billing continues through the App Store. Cancel your subscription first.

What’s kept, and for how long

When you delete your account, the following are kept with the link to your account removed:

  • Purchase records: not deleted until the legal retention period is set.
  • Reports you made or that were made about you, and message copies taken as evidence: deleted 1 year after the report is closed.
  • Feedback you sent from Settings and the record of moderation decisions.
  • If your account was closed for breaking the rules: an irreversible fingerprint (keyed hash) of your email address and Apple/Google account, so they can’t be used to sign up again.

A copy of the deleted account stays in database backups for at most 7 days; backups are deleted automatically after that.

If you can’t access the app

If you can’t get into the app, you can delete your account here. Enter the email address on your account; if there’s an account with that address, we send a 6-digit code. The code is valid for 30 minutes. When you enter it, your account is deleted immediately and permanently, the same way as deleting it in the app.

The code is only sent to a verified email address; if you signed in with Apple or Google, your address counts as verified. If you haven’t verified your email, you need to delete your account in the app. At most 5 codes are sent to an address per day.

If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove biselam’s connection to your Apple ID in your Apple ID settings.

If the code doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
