You decide when to show who you are. Even under an alias your account is known to us, and reports and blocks apply to it. The first message is text only, and someone writing masked can’t start a call.

If someone bothers you

You can report or block from any chat or profile with a single menu. Someone you block can’t message or call you or see your stories. You can block someone writing to you masked without finding out who they are.

FAQ

Is biselam free?

Downloading and using it is free. If you like, you can subscribe to Plus or buy coins; both are purchased through the App Store.

What does Plus give me?

It unlocks the country, city, gender, age and story type filters in Discover. With Plus you also see who said hi to you. Free Discover shows stories from all over the world in a mixed order.

What are coins for?

For boosting, sending super messages and getting frames. Coins don’t expire; they can’t be cashed out or transferred to others.

Is someone writing masked completely hidden?

The other person only sees their alias. The account is still known on our side; reports and blocks apply to the account behind the mask.

What is the question box?

Turn it on in the Privacy section of Settings and you can share your biselam.me/your-username link; people without the app can ask you questions there without giving their name. It’s off by default and you can turn it off any time.

I don’t want masked messages.

Turn off “Allow masked messages” in Settings. After that, people can only write to you with their profile.

How do I delete my account?

Tap “Delete account” in Settings. Your profile, photos, stories and messages are permanently deleted, and remaining coins aren’t refunded. If you have Plus, cancel it in the App Store first; deleting your account doesn’t stop the subscription.
